After years of rumors they finally (re)opened the Common Grounds Cafe in Dwinelle Hall. It can be a bit difficult to find (like anything in Dwinelle) but it's on Level F. If you walk in the doors closest to Wheeler/Sather Gate, turn to the right and take the elevator to 'F'. When you exit the elevator, turn to the left and you'll have to go up a few stairs into the cafe. They brew Peet's coffee, have basic beverages (water, soda, etc) and some snacks (fruit, yogurt, sandwiches, etc). If what you're looking for is a quick break, then Common Grounds sure beats waiting in line at Free Speech or at the Student Center especially during peak hours. I think you can even use your Cal Card to pay for things!
