I thought we are doing all we can by riding our bikes in our daily communal to and around the campus. It has never occur to me that we can go greener by sharing bikes. Two students, Justin Wiley and Marcelo Garzo, managed to land an initial $10,000 grant by the school to start the Green Bike share program. The only thing that I don't like about the program is it requires us to wear a helmet. I hope they will bypass this requirement soon as many people will be put off by such a rule. Well, I found out that the Chicago’s St. Xavier University also started a Green Bike Share program this fall. Hopefully, all the universities and colleges in San Francisco will have such a program as this area is densely populated.
