I am pretty disappointed to know that UC Berkeley only manages to get a B in the Sustainability Evaluation compiled by the the Sustainable Endowments Institute. I thought we should at least get a A as we are the top public university in the country. It seemed that we were being pulled down in points in the endowment sustainability section, receiving a D and a F in two of the three categories. Endowment sustainability simply means efforts put in to influence associated organizations to be more environmentally friendly. As a result of these low scores, UC Berkeley was kept from the top list of Overall College Sustainability Leaders. I just hope that the university will include campus members in the future to promote sustainability with the companies that have benefited from their investments.
It's a B in Sustainability Evaluation.
