One of the more unique aspects of UC Berkeley’s Club Sports program is the inclusion of roller hockey. Roller hockey has been around for decades and occasionally developed high levels of popularity. (There was even a short lived professional roller hockey circuit in the 1990’s) Roller hockey provides a unique opportunity for those who would love to play hockey but do not have access to an ice hockey rink or related equipment. UC Berkley makes jumping into the roller hockey arena (Well, maybe arena is a not the right word. It isn’t that rough a sport!) very easy and even novices can give a try. Yes, the roller hockey club makes an excellent addition to the UC Berkeley campus.
