The Sather Tower of UC Berkeley, which is better known as the Campanile, measured 307 feet in height. Visitors will be presented with a spectacular view of the entire Bay Area and of the campus if they take an elevator ride to its 200 feet observation platform. Aside from the amazing view that one can enjoy in the tower, carillon concerts also take place daily in the Campanile. Well, with over 60 carillon bells housed in the tower, what better way to make use of them other than hosting the carillon concert. As there are still 38 stairs to climb after you descend from the elevator, if you are a wheelchair bound person, please don't visit the place.
