Cal Water Polo Club was first formed in the Spring of 2004 by Dan Reyes (May 2007), Ben DeCoudres (December 2007), and Josh Stillwell (May 2007). Angela Andelson (May 2008) carried on their effort and in December 2007 water polo finally became an approved sport club at the University of California, Berkeley. The club competes against other university college clubs and practices in El Cerrito with East Bay Masters Water Polo. East Bay Masters Water Polo is a masters team in El Cerrito, CA that practices at the El Cerrito Community Swim Center. Cal Water Polo Club has a close relationship with the masters team and the two teams share poolspace and often times members of each group play in each other's tournaments. The practices are Sunday from 4-6pm, and Tuesday and Thursday from 7:30-9:30pm. The pool is located at 7007 Moeser Lane; El Cerrito, CA 94530.
