I really enjoy the (New) Old Pro. The Old Pro looks so different post-renovation. I thought I'd never ride the bucking bronco (mechanical bull), but quickly changed my mind when I was bribed with points on a party bus bar crawl. It was SO fun and I'd definitely be interested in riding again. The big beer shafts instead of pitchers are very cool and the cocktails are good too. There is a lot of space to spread out around the bar and even upstairs too. The crowd is usually fun too and this is often where my Peninsula friends choose to go. It's a bit easier to hear your friends talk here rather than Nola's too... The only danger at the Old Pro is getting tempted by the food that people are ordering and deciding to order french fries or some other not-so-healthy snack while drinking... that only sobers you up a bit and makes you want to buy more drinks!
