It is a one-year merit-based scholarship that recognizes outstanding and motivational students who provides leadership contributions in their academic, work, or community environments. It is available to prospective first year students, prospective transfer advance standing transfer students, UC Berkeley freshmen, sophomores, juniors and seniors. It awards its successful applicants by giving them between $1,5000 to $3,000 yearly as it is renewable. Even though the deadline of the award has just passed, don't despair as you can always apply next year.
