Do you know there are military veterans among us in the campus? Their presence here are made possible by the Montgomery GI Bill, a 1984-era system of educational benefits for people who spent time in the military. These veterans really appreciate their time here as it takes lots of money to get to an university. Some of them are finding new challenges in meeting their financial bills as their GI Bills are going to end very soon. Since some of these veterans joined the military after 9/11, they will have to stop accepting any financial aid from now in order to be qualified from the newly approved and enhanced GI Bill in a year from now. If you think you studies here is tough, then they will have twice the burden as yours.
