Thank God the tree-sitters are still in one piece.

After 21-month occupying a contested campus grove, four tree sitters finally descended from a redwood tree and were immediately arrested by the police. Luckily for them, the university is not going to press any charges against them even though they have protested to stop the construction of the $124 million athletic center. Another 5 protesters on the ground were also arrested by the police and I really feel relieved that the whole episode ended in peace and without any bloodshed. Victoria Harrison who is the university's Chief of Police was there to ensure that everything went smoothly and the tree dwellers safety is of utmost priority as this event has garnered interests beyond the campus.
Thank God the tree-sitters are still in one piece.
