Weather in Texas is usually hot and dry. In fact having been a student at the University of Texas in Austin for about three months now I have to say this is the hottest place I have ever lived. Rarely do we get rain around here, and I have been hold that the winters are very mild. This area is really active 24/7 365 because of the mild climate. If your a summer person you will love it here. Don't bother bring any winter clothing besides a light jacket and a couple of sweaters. We never see snow here and it never seems to get below freezing.
