Am I alone here? Am I the only one who really doesn't care about athletics at all? Where ever I look there are people talking about the athletic teams we have here and there are a lot but I don't understand all the enthusiasm. I was never a fan of baseball and especially of football. What is the big deal about a bunch of men slamming into each other to grab a Stewie-shaped-head ball. And just what does ten down mean? What is everyone cheering about in the stands? Yes, I root, root, root for the home team (GO TEAM!) but what am I rooting for? And why are the players treated like heroes and, shall I say it, Gods? Athletics are find for school spirit (GO TEAM!) but I just don't get all the roaring and cheering. Am I really alone in this?
