I only stayed in one hotel in berkeley and never again it was the Downtown Inn and it had some good reviews but it was awful. There is no lobby and the setting was really impersonal, the room itself was dark and fairly plain there is a large screen TV which was a bonus. The room was short on amenities with it had no iron, no chairs and had a strong, unpleasant smell. At night, it was really noisy outside so I couldnt sleep and the staff were really rude. This hotel did ruin my trip but I came back to Berkeley so it wasnt all bad.
