If you do choose to stay in Berkeley for the summer like I did then there are plebty of jobs, check out CAL which has thousands of jobs which will suit everyone. The jobs do vary and the money isnt great but if you simply want a part time job they are out there, you might be lucky and offered a full time one for the summer and they might keep you on as part time when you go back to classes.
