The academic services centers are setup in the resident halls to provide academic support for students to have a smooth flowing transition of academic life. If you need advices on course planning, college & major requirements, academic deadlines or career advice, you can have a chat with the Residence Hall Peer Advisors. Academic Services Centers also provides tutoring course in Chemistry, Math, Physics and Writing. These tutors are carefully selected from distinguished graduates and undergraduates of UC Berkeley. Under the faculty program, Academic Services have guest lectures, dinners and receptions, panel discussions, teaching workshop, freshman seminars etc. With these services around, I believe one can quickly adapt to the required academic performance.
