Jacob K. Javits Fellowship is a program sponsored by the U.S, Department of Education. It grants scholarship to students who want to pursue a doctoral or Masteral degree in the field of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences. Aspirants for the grant are reviewed according to their outstanding academic records and financial needs. The program is eligible for undergraduate students (must be a U. S. citizen) who are about to pursue graduate study. It gives out a maximum annual stipend of $30,000. The stipend actually depends on the student’s financial need.
