If this is going to be your first year at UC Berkeley, you will want to take your time to get acquainted with dorm life. You may not be use to sharing a room. You may not be use to making new friends so quickly. You have to be open to all possibilities. Take that extra time to become close with your roommates and your dormmates. Make sure to participate in all get acquainted activities. If you do this, you will make new friends very quickly. By making new friends you will become much more comfortable in your dorm. If you fail to take the time to get accustom to your new college family, you will find yourself feeling homesick more often.
