The easiest way to find good housing that isn't impossible to pay for is to just drive around yourself and look for the signs. The leasing companies will help you find something, but you'll over pay for that something. Or you could go with riverside, but then you're living on riverside. I lived hyde park my Jr year and North Campus by Double Daves my Sr year and we found both houses just driving around in march/april looking for signs in yards and windows. People were always jealous of the houses we had and the amount we paid for them. Also, we ended up with landlords that actually fixed stuff for us!
