So I'm in Palo Alto for the summer and I have to say the parties thus far have been pretty great. I wrote a review on this topic during the school year and I'm not kidding, there seemed to be a serious lack of good parties. But the weather has been great, and the bbq party scene has been so much fun this summer. The people here are really laid back, and although you can know nobody, by the end of the night, everyone's friends. Stanford during the summer has been pretty great.
