Most likely, after your first year you'll move into an apartment or a house. I prefer a house, just because you have more space and you actually feel settled in. People usually start looking for a place in the spring and the good spots will go quickly. I was able to find a good group of friends and was able to get a house pretty close to campus. There are a lot of options out there, but everyone is on the hunt, so just make sure you stay on top of it.
