Summer In Davis
What to do, what to do!? I decided to stay up in Davis for the Summer and it's actually been a lot of fun. It's a totally different vibe than the school year. Slower and relaxed. I really like it.
I'm only taking 2 classes, so I have a lot of free time during my weeks but I've found some great things. First, the farmers market is awesome. I always have a good time here on Wednesday evenings. I usually check it out with my girlfriends, and we just walk through to see all the great food on display. I love the fresh produce.
HB2K8= Madness
So here's my update on the greatest weekend ever. Hamburgers at 4 am, listening to 50 cent every hour of the day, bruises in the oddest places, and the best time ever! Houseboating on Memorial Day weekend is a challenge, but so much fun. The weather this year was a little drab, but that didn't really stop any of from partaking in all of the good times. There's pretty much an unlimited supply of keg beer, cheeseburgers, and sloppy good memories. I think everyone should do this at least once, but I after that weekend, my life is still swaying...
HB2K8!!!
So finals are coming up and I am dreading them! Summer can't get here fast enough! However it is Memorial Day weekend! which means 1 thing! HOUSEBOATS!!! Houseboats is an annual event where thousands of students migrate up to lake shasta and party all weekend. Pretty chaotic actually! Bruises, scratches are mainstays. Hamburgers and hotdogs all weekend, and endless amounts of alcohol. ALL LEADS TO SOME GREAT MEMORIES! HB2K8. Can't wait! I'll tell you all about it when I get back!
Help Us Hit 1000!!!
Hi Guys,
So life has been pretty busy for me the past few weeks. Midterms just ended last Friday for me, so at least I'm in the clear for a few weeks before finals. Spring is in full bloom up here in Davis, which means....REC POOL!
The Rec Pool is a great place to hangout, just a block away from campus. Kind of reminds of the resort pools at Cabo or PV. Nice grassy hills to hang out on, fun people, and always a good time.
SO HOT!
Hi Everyone! I know I already posted something earlier today, but since it's my first day on the job I thought I'd keep you all updated on what I've been up to today.
It's been HOT up here in Davis so I decided to treat myself to a nice day away from campus and by the Rec pool. My girlfriends and I headed to the pool, textbooks and sun tan lotion in hand. Definitely better than being stuck in a lecture hall. It was our mini 'Spring Break'!
Anyways, it was a nice little break, but it's time to hit the books. I'm a Political Science major and have to finish up 2 papers this week. UGH!
Hello Yollers!
Hey Guys! I'm Cindy Adams, the new Yollege blogger! I'm so excited to be here and hope to start meeting some great new people on this site!
I am a 2nd year at UC Davis and have loved every minute here. College has been an incredible ride, and I'm just trying to soak everything up.
So since this is my first entry, I thought I'd introduce myself!
I grew up in the Bay Area, and love spending time OUTSIDE! I'm definitely not one to spend all my time inside, cooped up in a library. However, when finals come around, I guess I have to succumb to the pressures of academia.
